Utilise both established DSP and Machine Learning approaches

A modern approach is required by this traditional audio company to create state-of-the-art algorithms.

You will be an outstanding mathematician with a solid understanding of statistical methods amongst a very broad range of mathematical techniques. This company is able to offer you a very experienced algorithm developer as a mentor, who will step aside to other projects as you grow in this role.

As the Mathematical Algorithm Developer you will probably have a first class master's degree from a world leading university. You will either have some experience or have just completed a PhD.

To be able to excel at this role you will have some interest in the music industry or musical ability, hence have the right aptitude and understanding when analysing a situation that requires a new algorithm. The tools you will using will typically be Python and MATLAB. To understand the existing algorithms, you will need to be able to read C++. If you can code a solution for a DSP chip in C++ that would be a fantastic bonus, but not required as there is another team member who is focused on embedding the code into their systems.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong mathematical background and a passion for audio systems. The existing members of the company are all audiophiles providing a strong team environment within a pleasant office and full range of staff benefits, including some home working once settled in.
