Developing RTL Verilog for IC designs and FPGA verification of custom devices

This Cambridge based company have built on their successes and extensive IP portfolio (100s of granted and pending patents) to produce highly precise, control ICs. The company have a stimulating work environment that befits their highly-skilled team of technical problem-solving engineers.

As a Custom IC Design Engineer, you will develop digital designs (Verilog models for simulation and synthesis), create SystemVerilog tests and write automated build scrips for FPGA simulations. You will also create FPGA designs that will wrap modelling logic with mixed-signals.

Requirements

  • Degree in electronics or similar.
  • Industry experience in the tech engineering industry working on FPGA / ASIC design and verification, and knowledge of industry standard interfacing technology (I2C, USB, AMBA, SPI).
  • Expertise and good hands-on use of Xilinx FPGA development tools.
  • Experience with Verilog and SystemVerilog.

Further exposure to Python scripting, unit test frameworks, real-time embedded firmware and CPU architecture, and mixed-signal circuitry would be advantageous.

The role will predominately be based at their offices in Cambridge (occasional home working is possible). Some (infrequent) travel to Asia and US would be expected.
