Apply your software skills in test and work with new scientific instruments

Join this software team and work closely with scientific instrumentation, developing and applying best practice for future product testing. Be part of their growing success in the Cambridge scientific sector.

Your CV will show your:

  • Appreciation for commercial software engineering practice and Agile methods, particularly from a test standpoint.
  • Familiarity with C#, .NET and related development tools, with sufficient coding skills in C# to develop high quality comprehensive test code and read and understand a growing codebase.
  • Understanding of test techniques across automated, manual and exploratory testing.
  • Interest in exploring customer use cases and user stories, and ensuring tests have sufficient coverage of these areas.
  • Good degree from a reputable institution and supporting A-level or equivalent grades.

Additional experience with UI automation testing would be helpful for the user interface element, but does not substitute for sufficient coding skills to work at the code and API level. Prior experience with instrumentation (scientific, medical or otherwise) would also be an asset but is not required.

This is a full-time and office-based role, however the company will consider some degree of part time working for the right candidate if preferable. You’d be joining a friendly and supportive development team working together to solve problems.

Please note: even if you don't have exactly the background indicated, do contact us now if this type of job is of interest - we may well have similar opportunities that you would be suited to. And of course, we always get your permission before submitting your CV to a company.
