Applied Physicist Engineer (26661)
This technology-minded, specialised consultancy works with leading companies on next generation medical device tools. A key application area that this consultancy has projects in includes the use of ultrasound. Ultrasound technologies have been used in applications for sonography (acoustic imaging) as well as treating connective tissues (therapeutic ultrasound) and non-invasive surgery.
They are currently looking for an Applied Physicist Engineer to join them who has expertise with ultrasound technologies. In this role, projects will test and stretch your knowledge and understanding of ultrasound and you will apply these to new medical device areas. You’ll work closely with other scientists and engineers, and build world-beating and innovative prototypes and devices.
- After graduating with a degree in physics, engineering or electronics, you will have completed a PhD working on ultrasound applications (including ultrasound hardware, signal processing, probe construction, system integration and transducer design). You may currently be working as a PostDoc or working in a role in industry.
- You’ll enjoy tackling difficult, multi-disciplinary problems, and are able to present to a range of stakeholders.
