Automated software testing of C# based desktop applications

A Software Developer in Test is sought by this multidisciplinary company. They develop instrumentation that encompasses technologies based on hardware, optics and software. The tech stack used for data acquisition and control interfaces is C# .NET.

As a Software Developer in Test, you will take responsibility of software solution test planning for GUI and non-GUI applications, working to expand their automated test coverage. This would include assessing software performance, integrating software tests within an Agile software development process, and investigating failures.

Requirements:

  • Ideally you will have a STEM degree and subsequent experience in software testing.
  • You’ll be familiar with C# for desktop apps and have experience with API testing. You’ll have familiarity with JIRA.
  • You’ll have used Visual Studio / .NET and built test-related tools.
  • Past projects will include automation for Windows GUI testing.

At interview, you would be comfortable to discuss the merits of different software test principles and practices, and can articulate different approaches to solve technical problems in software.

Note, this role is based onsite (no home working is available), the role is open to full time (37.5hpw) or part time (minimum 20hpw).
