Building a highly capable test framework with Python 3

This company develops leading edge connectivity solutions for a wide array of applications. As their product range and client base grows, so do the use cases that need to be tested in a thorough and repeatable manner. They are therefore seeking a skilled and resourceful Developer-in-test to join their team, and help them further streamline and automate their continuous integration and testing framework.

You would be joining their dedicated test team, working in pleasant modern surroundings close to Cambridge. They are keen to build the best system possible, and would value the hard-won experience of someone who is familiar with the pros and cons of existing approaches. An enthusiasm for problem-solving will certainly be helpful as the system is at an early stage with plenty of opportunities to tackle interesting challenges.

You will need:

  • A good degree in computer science or another applicable STEM subject from a good university
  • Strong coding skills in Python 3 (or excellent skills with another modern OO language)
  • Hands-on experience in building test automation frameworks
  • Full existing right to work in the UK without restriction, time limit, or sponsorship

Experience with Gerrit, Jenkins, continuous integration, Ansible, infrastructure-as-code, and data warehousing are useful though not essential.
This is a great opportunity to join a successful company based in Cambridgeshire, and join a friendly, knowledgeable team building a highly capable new test system. A competitive salary and excellent benefits package are on offer the successful candidate.
