Developing software for scientific hardware instrumentation

Are you a Software Engineer with experience developing C#.NET for hardware applications? Have you worked on digital inkjet technologies, instrumentation applications, or image processing microscopy tools and are keen to work on new projects?

This Cambridge based company are gaining traction and success through their innovative technologies. They have put together physicists and engineers to build specialist instrumentation that can have wide-reaching impacts in R&D. They currently are recruiting for a C# Software Engineer to join their growing software team. In this role, you will work on complex problems used in control, data analysis and image processing. You may find yourself implementing ML techniques. You’ll be involved in the full software life-cycle including relevant testing and documentation. For senior members of the team, leading and mentoring of junior members would also be expected.

Requirements:

  • Degree in computer science, physics or similar with industry experience as a software engineer.
  • Experience with C#.NET on hardware applied projects (ideally on instrumentation control, image processing or scientific data analysis).
  • Experience working in an Agile software development environment.

This role is based onsite as projects focus on their hardware instruments. Occasional homeworking is possible (more ad hoc when projects allow than regularly occurring).

Interested applicants must have full permission to work in the UK indefinitely. On offer is an enhanced compensation package including performance bonus, health insurance and access to wellness benefits.
