Health Tech Business Development Lead (26851)

One of the most important requirements for success in this role is the technical background that will give you instant credibility with potential clients.

In the Lead position for Business Development in health tech fields such as drug delivery, digital health and eye care, you will be comfortable finding new MedTech-based opportunities with world-class companies and suggesting new projects that will shape the future of global healthcare products. Carefully balancing an enthusiastic and optimistic approach to securing new projects with a grounded appreciation for the challenges involved in technical development work, you will be involved in fully scoping out projects including resource requirements, strategic decisions and setting key objectives.

You will be the bridge between clients and an exemplary team of supportive skilled scientists and engineers, all eager to exploit new technology and produce solutions with real-world benefits. Excellent communication skills will be key. You will provide valued commercial insight to the projects, frequently meeting clients in person and visiting their sites to gain a full understanding of the issues involved.

You will need:

• A technical or engineering background, including a good degree (2.1 or above) in a scientific subject from a well-respected university
• Excellent commercial understanding of delivering successful projects in the health tech field, particularly MedTech drug delivery, digital health or eye care products
• A hard-won appreciation for the difficulties involved in bringing technical projects to a successful conclusion and to the full satisfaction of clients
• To enjoy seeking out new business opportunities, horizon scanning, discovering new markets and finding effective solutions to clients’ challenges

Full rights to work in the UK without time limit or sponsorship will also be needed for this position.
