Building mobile apps to interact and control hardware products

This technology-based consultancy provides software and hardware-based solutions for their global customers. Their solutions involve a strong bias for user experience and are built with robustness and futureproofing in mind.

They are recruiting an experienced App Development Engineer to join them as one of their consultants and provide technical expertise and hands-on experience in building and developing software apps for tablets and mobiles. The role would also require customer-contact and working within a technical team.

Requirements:

  • Demonstrable industry experience in developing iOS apps on mobile platforms using Swift and Xcode. Additional experience with Android would be desirable.
  • Competency in a broad range of technologies including Python for scripting.
  • Exposure to hardware interaction ideally with wireless connectivity (Bluetooth, WiFi or NFC).
  • Familiarity with cloud technologies (AWS or Azure).

You’ll have good communication skills, be comfortable working to deadlines within a team environment, and generally be an able problem-solver. You’ll likely have a degree in computer science or electronics.
