Applying your human behaviour insights to a broad range of problems

This company tackles a very wide array of problems in science and technology, drawing upon the collective expertise of their employees. In many instances, creating a successful solution will depend on the smooth interaction of humans and technology. They are therefore seeking a Human Factors Consultant to join their team, providing insights that will guide their design process. Examples might include researching how people and robotic systems interact, how healthcare devices can be made more intuitive, or how harnessing behavioural psychology might enable sustainability.

You will need:

  • A 1st or 2.1 degree from a leading university and a PhD in Behavioural Science, or a closely related field
  • Previous success in applying your human behaviour insights to real-world problems in industry or academia, managing and conducting research studies, interventions, questionnaire design, interviewing, literature review, and statistical data analysis
  • You will need to be a confident communicator, happy to work within a multidisciplinary environment with colleagues from a very broad range of technical backgrounds and to provide professional expertise to clients.

The company are based in pleasant modern offices in Cambridge. They have a relaxed and collaborative culture with a commitment to taking on only ethical projects. Some occasional travel and client contact is to be expected.
