To join them, you’ll be degree educated in a STEM subject with significant expertise with software development. Working with larger software systems in particular is of interest, with good architecture and solid underpinnings for future work. Object-oriented design, and web API design – designing a suite of compliant APIs to address a variety of needs and with a view to the future – are key skills. You’ll also need full and unrestricted UK work permission.

Technologies of interest include:

• Python software development, particularly in a larger OO context
• C# and .NET 7 or earlier (.NET Core, .NET Framework) for server-side, web and cloud apps
• Golang (Go), particularly for endpoint development
• GraphQL and Elasticsearch
• React (React.js) and comparable single-page application frameworks for client-side development (though this is not a client-side role)
