Ideation and technology development for MEMS sensor applications

A creative role for someone with expertise in MEMS development. This company develops miniaturised sensor technology which will open up a range of novel industrial and consumer applications. As their business expands, they are seeking an additional MEMS design expert to join their growing development team.

The role is varied and will involve using your insights to come up with new MEMS sensor and product concepts which you will then help to develop. This could involve modelling and simulation, materials selection, layout and design, advising on packaging considerations and the wafer process, and specifying test and validation requirements, and characterising the device performance. Additionally, you’ll contribute to the company’s technology roadmap, contribute to patenting of intellectual property, and participate in planning and reporting activities.

You will need

  • A minimum of 1st of 2.1 degree in a relevant Engineering or Science subject. A master’s degree or PhD would be preferred.
  • Previous experience in developing MEMS devices, with hands-on skills in areas such as simulation, layout, wafer process development, package design, characterisation, testing, and qualification.
  • Full existing right to work in the UK.
