High performance RF and mixed signal systems on integrated receiver chips

Based either with their team in Cambridge, UK or 's-Hertogenbosch, Netherlands, the RF Design Engineer will take a key role on projects around the proper integration of RF couplers and switches, and LNAs on their custom chip. This would include RF circuit design through high level simulations. Projects will dovetail with external IC design teams in order to optimise layouts and ensure high performance implementations. The work can be fast paced and will require good communication skills and documentation.

Requirements:

  • Background in electronics engineering (BEng / MEng / PhD) with demonstrable industry project experience in integrating LNAs, couplers and switches within a RF system.
  • Fundamental understanding of receiver desensitisation mechanisms (reciprocal mixing, intermodulation and self-interference).
  • Knowledge of low noise, high linearity design techniques for 4G / 5G RF front-end modules.
  • Experience using ADS, Microwave Office or similar simulation tools.

Interested applicants should have full, unrestricted rights to work in one of the given locations (UK or Netherlands). On offer is an excellent compensation package including participation in share option scheme. Hybrid working is possible (minimum expectations would be to be onsite for multiple days per week).
