Exploratory, API and system testing for the modern cloud

Join this egalitarian, agile development team to develop next generation cloud software which leads the way in specialised markets. The role offers challenge, freedom and variety and will suit a thoughtful and technically-minded test engineer who wants to be an equal participant in the process.

As part of a product team you’ll be simultaneously learning, designing and executing exploratory and API tests with an eye on customer needs. You’ll help clarify requirements, challenge assumptions, and offer input into what and how should be tested.

You’ll bring:

  • An appreciation of good software test approaches earned through practice;
  • Prior work on end-to-end system testing including functional, performance and load tests;
  • Past experience identifying key risk areas where test is vital, and solving complex or intricate testing problems;
  • Some familiarity interacting with cloud services as part of testing;
  • An enquiring mind that likes detail and lateral thinking, and good interpersonal skills towards collaboration.

It is beneficial if you have used automated test approaches including mocking, monitoring and analysis tools, source control, common internet protocols, network packet inspection, key management systems. Knowledge of AWS (ECS), SQL Server, MSMQ, GitHub, PowerShell, Visual Studio, WireShark is also helpful.
