Bring improvements to multi-disciplinary engineering team

Our client is seeking a passionate and driven quality engineer to join their growing team, spearheading and coordinating their quality plans. You will oversee promoting a culture of continuous improvement backed by the generation and tracking of quality metrics and the use of the 8D problem solving methodology. You will also play a key role in the internal auditing process, ensuring the business stays on-track for its ISO 9001 certification.

The technology under development represents a close coupling of mechanical, electrical, control, and software systems and alterations to any one area can have wide ranging effects, so having some understanding of these varied domains is desirable. Of particular relevance is Agile/Scrum software development methods and electro-mechanical hardware testing.

Requirements:

  • Commercial experience as a quality engineer or similar at a high-volume electronics manufacturing company
  • Strong familiarity with ISO 9001
  • Good degree (1st or 2:1) in an engineering discipline
  • Full and unrestricted rights to work in the UK
