Using your skills in electronics and software to create MedTech innovations

A vibrant company focussing on MedTech and instrumentation seeks a skilled Electronics Engineer to join their talented and growing team. Forever creating and evolving, the company works on some of the most innovative products in the healthcare sector.

Targeting products that would make positive impacts on patients and users, joining the team will give you the opportunity to work on fulfilling projects, knowing your contributions will be appreciated and will improve people’s lives. Utilising a mix of electronics and software knowledge, previous projects have included robotics, biosensors, control systems and diagnostics.

The type of tasks you will encounter will include developing circuitry and control systems, integrating electronic and software into existing systems, testing and transfer to manufacture, as well as presenting your ideas and progress to other team members and clients.

You will already be familiar with working in a commercial setting and will have taken part in the complete product lifecycle before, giving you good experience of brainstorming, specifying, architecting, designing and prototyping digital circuits, and coding.

You will need:

  • Full existing rights to work in the UK without time limit.
  • A good degree (2:1 or above) in electronics or electrical engineering, software, computer science or general engineering from a well-respected university
  • Excellent communication skills including written, oral and presentation skills
  • Digital circuit design including selection of microcontrollers and FPGAs
  • Architecting and writing firmware in one or more of C, C++, Verilog or VHDL.

The following are not essential but will be welcome additions to your application:

  • A genuine fasciation for science and engineering evidenced by personal projects
  • Hands on lab experience with test equipment such as oscilloscopes and logic analysers
  • Experience with high frequency electronics such as RF systems

The team works full-time onsite in a modern, spacious, customised building with their own parking and excellent links to public transport. A generous remuneration package is on offer, as well as career development and mentoring programmes.
