Mechanical Engineer - MedTech Sector (27207)

This personable team work closely with leaders in a range of industries including MedTech and consumer products. They seek a talented and enthusiastic Mechanical Engineer to join their development team. You will be playing an important role in the design and development of prototypes, test rigs, and demonstrating solutions to current and potential clients.
Ideally you will have a PhD in Mechanical Engineering and be comfortable planning your own work and time, with an eye on commercial requirements. Able to design, build and test your ideas, you will be as happy at a laboratory work bench as you would using computational modelling in the design of new products. Perhaps you already have some commercial experience and a good grasp of the issues faced when designing for manufacture. You will also need excellent communication skills and to be prepared to present your ideas to clients and colleagues alike.
Requirements for this role:
- An excellent academic history, including a PhD and at least a degree class of 2:1 in Mechanical Engineering or similar subject, backed by impressive grades at A level.
- Skills in CAD, mathematical modelling and data analysis (MATLAB and Python would be useful).
- Experience with building prototypes and hardware test.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, including report writing.
- Permanent eligibility to work in the UK, without time limit or constraint.
