Designing and developing software for RF semiconductor modules

This Cambridge based semiconductor tech start up are developing innovative technology for mobile devices and wearables. They seek a Python Software Engineer to take a leading technical role in developing a range of products used for RF measurements and optimisations. The role would involve developing GUIs, test automation, data handling and interfacing with hardware test equipment. Projects will involve the integration of algorithms and security standards.

The team work collaboratively and support each other as well as external stakeholders when required.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s / Master’s degree in computer science, electronics or similar AND demonstrable industry-grade software development experience using Python.
  • Experience with GUI development frameworks (ideally PyQt or Tkinter).
  • Familiarity with hardware test equipment and communication protocols.
  • Exposure to RF measurements and related testing is beneficial.

Work involves engineering and good problem solving skills, so interested applicants should be able to evidence their experience through relevant applied projects, providing contextual similarities involving algorithm implementation, data handling and the use of software development best practices.
