MedTech start-up revolutionising automation based manufacturing processes

Join this medical technology start-up, combining engineering know-how with a deep connection to sector-specific stakeholders, to produce a revolutionary approach in manufacturing for medical process automation.

Reporting to the COO, the Manufacturing Engineering Lead will be a key part of the senior leadership team. They will collaborate closely with the executive team, development team, external manufacturing partners and others in the supply chain. Your impact will be in strategy, operational oversight, team development, process management and standards, all within manufacturing for the company.

Requirements:

  • You’re an engineer at heart with the head (and experience) of a manufacturing leader with influencing skills and who can inspire teams.
  • You can demonstrate (and at interview discuss) in detail a role where you built up, established and oversaw the manufacturing capabilities for high value products (such as bespoke or low volume automation machinery, bio-processing instruments, or similar robotic equipment in aerospace / automotive).
  • You know how to work and get a team to work well in a highly quality-driven environment (relevant standards include ISO 9001, 13485)

You naturally have the gravitas to command a room, and be able to put forward ideas whilst listening to others. Your communication skills will include the ability to negotiate and empathise. You’ll also need some IT experience using appropriate MRP systems such as Oracle or SAP.

Interested applicants do need to have unrestricted rights to work in the UK (no company sponsorship is available). Due to the nature of the role and the culture of the company at this stage, you must be able to be onsite throughout the week. On offer is an excellent remunerations package including a wide range of benefits that are uncommon to see in a start up (including discounted theatre tickets, free lunch, life insurance and access to an electric car leasing scheme).

Please note: even if you don't have exactly the background indicated, do contact us now if this type of job is of interest - we may well have similar opportunities that you would be suited to. And of course, we always get your permission before submitting your CV to a company.
