RF Test Engineer (27553)
This varied, RF test engineering role will find you working in both a lab (for prototype measurements) and at actual customer sites for field testing. Your remit will include analysing RF systems including use of diagnostic software to troubleshoot and test the technology, write Python or C/C++ for test automation; track and fix bugs within the hardware to optimise overall behaviour, and produce documentation to feedback into the engineering design process.
You’ll likely have an electronics degree (or equivalent experience) with a strong focus on RF engineering including receivers and embedded systems. Further you will have:
- Experience with test tools for electronics
- Familiarity with Python for automated scripting.
- Good documentation experience within a test engineering role.
Additional experience with defence / telecom standards would be highly desirable (MIL-STD, DEF-STAN). Similarly, any exposure to field validation or EMC / RF performance testing would be advantageous.
Due to technology being used for defence related applications, interested candidates must be eligible for security clearance.
