This role combines practical electronics, mechanical and software aspects to develop test rigs for the verification and characterisation of novel sensors, so you will need to be an experienced and adaptable hardware test engineer, and happy taking the initiative on coming up with solutions.

You will become an expert in the company's sensor designs as well as inventing clever ways to test their functionality.
Tasks may include designing and building electromechanical test rigs, specifying and carrying out automated and manual test campaigns for functionality verification and device characterisation. You'll help troubleshoot any issues that may arise, analyse results, and create and maintain relevant documentation.
You will need:
- Practical electronics and mechanical skills for designing and building fixtures or jigs, preferably with experience using a CAD package such as SolidWorks
- Good familiarity with standard electronics test equipment (multimeters, oscilloscopes etc.)
- Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
- Strong communication skills and the ability to write clear concise documentation
- Full existing UK work permission without time restriction or the need for sponsorship
This role would suit an engineer with a broad skillset and inventive turn of mind, as it offers a variety of interesting challenges and opportunities for creative thought, and the chance to make a major impact to this ambitious and growing company.
