Summary: 1st class degree and/or PhD with top A levels needed for expanding engineering consultancy, must be eligible for UK security clearance due to nature of projects; Scotland; to £35k + benefits.

This growing engineering consultancy specialises in research and project studies for high speed flight and trajectory solutions. This new role is to join an existing team working on a range of projects.

You will be a recent Master’s or PhD graduate in Physics, Maths, Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering with a strong mix of scientific and software skills. The ideal experience lies in computational fluid dynamics or plasma physics research / simulation with software development skills. Of particular interest are the following areas of expertise: aerodynamics, compressible flows, two phase flows, chemically reacting flows, turbulent flows, magneto-hydrodynamics, fluid structure interaction, porous materials or radiative transfer in gases.
