Developing for embedded systems, automotive and motorsports applications

This company is a world-leader, developing complex technology used in automotive applications ranging from high-performance motorsports, to the humble family hatchback. They are seeking an experienced C / C++ Software Engineer to join their successful Cambridge-based team. Joining a friendly, experienced team, you will be developing products used by thousands of people worldwide, whilst contributing to safety, efficiency and analysis.

Alongside proven commercial experience working in a resource-constrained execution environment, successful Software Engineer CVs will need to demonstrate most of:

  • fluency with C-based software development (C, C++, C#), ideally in an embedded environment;
  • experience coding for high through-put data capture, real-time processing and analysis;
  • a strong numerate and academic background, incl. at least a 2.1 honours degree in Computer Science (or related subject) from a top-ranking university;
  • familiarity developing for embedded Linux systems, exposure to IPC, multi-threading and Qt would be fantastic.

Additional experience with video capture and processing, CAN bus use, and previous work with automotive software or diagnostics will be a great benefit.
