Visualise cutting-edge global activity at new Cambridge HQ

Few companies’ products can match this level of innovative UI development: compelling user interfaces where advanced visualisation techniques and judicious use of interactive 3D elements highlight real time effects upon global infrastructure, and myriad data can be explored without recourse to tedious tabulation.

The company is seeking graduate and experienced software engineers with a penchant for data visualisation and a creative mind. Linux development experience and significant capability with JavaScript, Python or a similar language are imperative, as is an inclination towards creating productive and unique user experiences.

You will need a 1st or 2:1 from a Russell Group university. Subjects of study may include computing, mathematics, mechanical engineering, physics or other technical disciplines. Strong A-level grades are a prerequisite. In any case you will have significant experience with your programming language(s) of choice, even if all of that is extra-curricular.

You are welcome to provide or link to projects which demonstrate your capacity to produce high calibre UI and UX, as these are valued. Live demos of your work online or on YouTube are of interest.

Candidates with commercial experience are welcome and will need to show their continuous involvement in innovation throughout their software development career. All candidates will need full existing permission to live and work in the UK without time limit, restriction or sponsorship.

From their modern offices the company practise informally Agile development, as decided upon by each team. They offer competitive salaries and a range of perks. Their location is convenient by rail and road and some on-site parking is available.

If you are interested, send your CV to ECM Selection; whilst we can only put forward the top few candidates, we do read every CV and try to respond to everyone. Or visit the ECM Selection website and recommend a friend for £250 – see http://www.ecmselection.co.uk/tell-a-friend for details.

Please note: even if you don't have exactly the background indicated, do contact us now if this type of job is of interest - we may well have similar opportunities that you would be suited to. And of course, we always get your permission before submitting your CV to a company.
