This successful edge networking start-up is looking for an experienced Linux developer interested in taking a leading role in their Cambridge-based software team. You would act as a technical authority with the team, mentoring and advising junior engineers as well as taking the reins on team leadership as required. As such this would be an excellent chance for an accomplished Linux developer to gain team and technical leadership experience whilst staying involved with hands-on coding.
Our client is well-situated in central Cambridge, and offer a friendly and supportive work environment with an emphasis on creating great software. As a small company the role will offer the opportunity to get involved with all aspects of their software and broaden your technical skillset as well as honing your leadership skills which can progress as the company grows.
You will need:
- A 1st or 2:1 degree in a STEM subject from a top university.
- Excellent coding skills in C showcased by some stunning sample code which will exemplify good coding practice and illustrate your expertise in the language.
- Extensive experience in developing software under Linux, preferably embedded Linux variants and including development of both user and kernel mode code.
- Full right to work in the UK without restriction or time limit as our client cannot offer sponsorship.
