Experimental physics researching high velocity impacts

The Graduate Experimental Physicist will design and build experiments using complex instrumentation to observe and analyse high velocity impact studies. This work forms an integral part of an academically focused group, progressing towards long term energy solutions for the planet.

The successful candidate will have the following:-

  • Excellent degree in physics (MPhys, MSci) from a highly-ranked university with A level grades to back up (primarily A/A*s).
  • Ingenuity in devising and customising experiments
  • Enthusiasm and desire to work in a transformational real-world team environment
  • Interest in working in high-risk transformational technology

This young and dynamic company is well-funded and offers a friendly working environment close to Oxford. Working alongside the experimental physicists are complementary teams of simulation scientists and computational physicists. There are also close links to academic collaborators.

An excellent package is on offer, including competitive salary, share options, flexible working and free lunches.

This role is subject to vetting procedures similar to security clearance.
