Hey there! This is just one of many top career opportunities ECM can suggest — if this job isn't right for you, let us do the hard work! Tell us what you're looking for and we'll start searching for you. We promise to treat your CV as strictly confidential.

Wanted: top graduates with OO coding skills

Are you an exceptional academic with excellent coding skills in a modern object-oriented language such as C# or Java? Are you seeking a varied client-facing role with a company that could rapidly advance your career?

Our client has created an industry-leading data platform which abstracts away the complexity of disparate back end data sources to provide a simple and efficient toolkit for building bespoke business applications. As well as continuing to develop this core product, your role would include providing consultancy to help customers to develop user friendly business tools, tailored to their specific needs, and where necessary this may include the extension of the core platform to support novel features required by the customer. This work would typically be carried out at our client’s offices, but may occasionally involve working on customers’ sites.

You would need:

  • A strong academic background with a 1st or 2.1 degree in a STEM subject from a top university (upper Russell group, or non-UK equivalent) as well as top grades at A-level (or equivalent)
  • Relevant commercial software development experience with a modern object-oriented language such as Java or C#. Please note that extensive experience will not absolve the need for strong degree and A level grades
  • You will be well-presented, with the communication skills and confidence to work effectively with customers
  • Front end development skills with HTML5, CSS3 and JavaScript would be advantageous.

Sponsorship is a remote theoretical possibility for candidates with impressive and relevant commercial experience AND a 1st class degree in Computer Science, Physics, Maths etc. from an Oxbridge style university AND straight A* grades at A level.

For any high-flying go-getters who have read this far, the role attract a competitive salary and benefits package appropriate to high calibre candidates. You would be working with a team of expert colleagues within a friendly supportive environment, and once up to speed you would enjoy a high degree of autonomy over your work.

Interested? Send your CV to ECM Selection; whilst we can only put forward the top few candidates, we do read every CV and try to respond to everyone. Or recommend a friend for £250, details at http://ecmselection.co.uk/tell-a-friend.
