Currently recruiting, start will be remote or deferred

An opportunity for a graduate or experienced web developer to join a financial sector software company to work on modern web applications. Rather than building “web sites”, you will be developing smart tools for monitoring global critical systems which serve crucial business needs in finance.

You will have excellent skills in a modern iteration of a server-side web language and framework, and flexibility as to which language and framework you use. Strong client-side skills with JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3 are also required, as is familiarity with SQL databases. You’ll be familiar with Windows and Linux development, and able to write scripts to speed your work.

You’ll likely have a good degree (1st or 2:1) from a top university, either in computing or another numerate subject, and strong A-level grades. You’ll have a strong computing background and be familiar with networking and how the web functions (e.g. HTTP). You’ll have full existing UK work permission without time limit, restriction or sponsorship.

Once the UK situation permits, you’ll work in the company’s very pleasant and modern offices in the centre of Cambridge. Personal contributions are highly valued in the company. Salaries are competitive, and bonuses awarded based on individual success.

Send your CV to ECM Selection; whilst we can only put forward the top few candidates, we do read every CV and try to respond to everyone. Or if you’re already registered with us, recommend a friend at http://ecmselection.co.uk/tell-a-friend.

Please note: even if you don't have exactly the background indicated, do contact us now if this type of job is of interest - we may well have similar opportunities that you would be suited to. And of course, we always get your permission before submitting your CV to a company.
