Masters / PhD / Postdoc, Move into industry, Client-facing, Interviewing now

Have you recently completed your Masters / PhD or coming to the end of a Postdoc? Are you looking to move into industry and are keen to gain commercial experience? An opportunity to join a Cambridge based team of physics and maths modelling engineers is available with an immediate start.

This team provide expertise to their clients (university research groups and industrial development teams) on a wide range of engineering and physics based areas. This fixed term role is to provide technical insight into electromagnetic applications through simulation modelling and hence is both technically challenging and requires top communication skills (written and spoken).

Requirements:

  • Demonstrable Masters or PhD project revolving around applied electromagnetic maths modelling.
  • Strong understanding of first principles of electromagnetics including capacitive, resistive, inductive and magnetic properties.
  • Experience using modelling tools such as electromagnetic modules in MultiPhysics. Additional experience with MATLAB or Octave would also be of note.

Interested applications must be able to start immediately (or very shortly), and be based close to Cambridge (or be willing to relocate to the Cambridge area). Further, applicants must have full rights to work in the UK (no company sponsorship), and their CVs should evidence relevant technical knowledge and projects. Strong communication skills are expected.
