Masters / PhD role in CFD, Client-facing, Varied Projects, Interviewing Now

A new opportunity has arisen to join this technical consultancy team based in Cambridge. Their expertise covers a broad range of engineering and physics related mathematical modelling areas, and they are looking to recruit a Maths Modeller to join them. Key areas of responsibility will be in CFD and include training and use of specialised simulation software, and providing technical assistance to their clients.

Projects to work on will be varied, and a key aspect will be understanding how CFD properties impact other physical simulation attributes in engineering models.

This role is open to Master or PhD level engineers / physicists / mathematicians. Initial training will be provided, but knowledge and understanding of key areas of CFD will be expected.

Requirements:

  • Strong academic background including at least a 2.1 in a relevant discipline from a top ranked university; and A*/A grades in maths and physics at A-level (or equivalent).
  • Masters or PhD including demonstrable project experience in CFD based maths modelling (post-graduate experience in a commercial setting working on CFD models will also be considered).
  • Strong understanding of fluid flows, fluid mechanics, turbulence, aerodynamics, vortices, Navier-Stokes or heat transfer related to CFD projects.
  • Experience with mathematical modelling and simulation tools.

This is an excellent opportunity to join this multinational company, and their highly-regarded Cambridge team. Interested applicants should provide a descriptive but succinct technical CV which showcases their strong communication skills and technical ability.

Interviews will initially be remote, but it is expected that candidates be based in or close to Cambridge where their office is (candidates open to relocating at their own expense will also be considered). Future career support is also provided by the company.
