Software Engineer, complex instrumentation (25922)
If you have completed your degree in software or electronics engineering and have at least one relevant internship, have a look at this opportunity to join an exciting start-up venture. They are developing a revolutionary technology for the life sciences industry, enabling cheaper and faster routes to development and improved outcomes for clinicians and researchers.
The work is within a multi-disciplinary team of scientists and engineers. With a small team there is plenty of opportunity to get involved in complex sub-system design and integration, involving microfluidics and image processing.
The requirements are:-
- 1st or 2.1 degree from a highly ranked world-class university in software engineering, electronics engineering, computer science or physics
- Excellent programming skills, including the use of OO design principles and evidence of developing applications in C# and Python
- Appreciation of software development practices, including defining user requirements, creating robust designs and testing throughout the development life-cycle
- An enthusiastic approach with a strong team-working ethic
Any additional experience of image processing in real-time, or working with embedded processors and FPGAs would also be of interest.
