Entry level quantitative analysis opportunity with clear career progression

A strategy consultancy based in the heart of Cambridge are happy to consider graduates for an immediate or summertime start in an entry level position involving quantitative analysis and numerical model building.

This specialised consultancy has clients worldwide and pre-Covid, the role would have involved an exciting, but not exhausting, amount of travel to clients' sites. The company builds detailed numerical models, soundly based on financial data, enabling their clients to assess and predict everchanging business environments and make impactful strategic decisions.

Working closely with senior consultants and partners on all aspects of projects, including data collection, quantitative analyses, developing numerical models, and building strategic frameworks, you will be given responsibility early on in your career and expected to deliver your findings to clients via succinct reports and professional presentations.

This company also appreciates that career progression will be an important factor to an ambitious candidate, and they provide a clear pathway to rapid personal development, which incorporates financial rewards.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Masters level degree and an excellent undergraduate degree (2:1 or above) in Maths, Physics or similar mathematically based subject, from a well-respected Russell Group university, backed by top grades at A-Level (or 40+ at IB).
  • Evidence of your commercial awareness ideally gained during internships at financial / management consultancies or similar companies.
  • Experience working on large, complex numerical models. This can come from a substantial dissertation or placements where you contributed to projects in modelling or numerical auditing.

Excellent communication skills are expected and as clients can be scattered across the globe, skills in a second language, such as Spanish, French or Arabic, would be an advantage.
