Grow your software engineering knowledge, product and business skills

Help one of Cambridge’s foremost software companies get their tools into the hands of technical professionals. Advise and guide colleagues and clients on technologies, using your growing knowledge of their field. Build on your STEM degree and existing skillset to expand your future career opportunities.

This is a collaborative role for someone with a love of technology who is interested in talking to people, and would like to develop their knowledge of software technologies, software products and business skills including negotiation.

You will have a good STEM degree from a top university (to Russell Group standard), backed by strong A-level or equivalent grades, and full existing UK work permission without time limit, restriction or need for sponsorship.

In addition you will have:

  • A love of technology, keen to further your understanding of how modern software works and is developed.
  • Energy, smarts, innate curiosity and a willingness to learn, and to learn how to guide others
  • The desire to make people (including customers) happy and to help use the best technology to solve their problems.
  • Some confidence, to speak your mind amongst people who want to hear your views, and to challenge existing thoughts on a topic.

Ideally you may have strong knowledge of the principles of software engineering, cloud software systems, databases and/or networked systems. Prior experience in a customer-facing position would be beneficial, whether from commercial work, internships or perhaps summer jobs.

The company offers an award-winning place to work, flexible hours and a generous package including rewards linked to your success. Plenty of hybrid working is available in the longer term, once you have settled into the role. Occasionally, and with reasonable notice, you may be asked to be flexible about your time in return, whilst still taking advantage of flexible work patterns.

Do contact ECM if this role or similar is of interest; whilst we can only put forward the top few candidates, we do read every CV and try to respond to everyone. Your CV will only be sent to companies with your explicit permission.
