Computational Scientist (26512)

This small engineering consultancy specialises in research and project studies for highly complex fluid dynamics and aerodynamics. They develop models and solutions for problems that CFD packages can’t handle. The work is mathematically intensive and involves developing models for high-profile projects with a strong space and defence bias (including rockets, space probes and Mars-landers).

You will be a PhD graduate in Physics or Engineering (or similar) with a strong mix of scientific and software skills. The ideal experience lies in high-speed flight, planetary entry, thermal protection and high enthalpy flows. A background in developing physics-based numerical models is of interest.

Prior to your PhD, you will have gained an undergraduate degree at a highly-ranked university following A levels graded at A* and A.
