This software modelling consultancy is expanding their team and is looking for a Consultant Engineer. Their specialised tools provide companies in the oil and gas sector with powerful means to process large amounts of data, and develop models for a range of aspects involved around petroleum engineering (production, processing, real time systems and research).

As their latest Consultant Engineer, you could be travelling out to clients, providing bespoke training and technical insight into use of their software tools. The role would suit someone who enjoys meeting people and is comfortable talking to technical and non-technical people.

Requirements:

  • 1st or 2.1 degree in Petroleum, Chemical or Mechanical Engineering, Physical Science or Applied Mathematics, followed by a Master’s / PhD (or equivalent industry experience) working on projects in petroleum or chemical engineering.
  • General understanding of petroleum processes and interest in deepening knowledge in this area.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Ability to deliver projects to deadlines.
  • Able to travel globally.

The position is based at the company’s offices in Edinburgh, Scotland. In house training would be provided for the specialist parts of the role. The company would continue to support your career. Further, on offer is an excellent remunerations package including enhanced benefits.
