Graduate Data Scientist (24878)
This is a highly creative and analytical role using NLP as well as traditional numeric and categorical data to design the AI algorithms that give their client early warning about possible cyber threats.
As a Graduate Data Scientist you will have an outstanding academic background with excellent grades and top STEM degree from a well-known and respected university. You probably went on to complete a PhD. Ideally your interest in this area will be backed up hobby projects, probably stored on Kaggle or GitHub.
In summary most of the following is required:
- Excellent knowledge of maths and statistics
- Previous experience in algorithm development
- Ability to get to a 90% solution rapidly rather than focusing on elegancy
- General understanding of NLP techniques
- Critical thinker able to interpret data effectively
- Good broad knowledge of IT systems verging on DevOps
You will join a small startup tackling an issue that has been overlooked by the industry so far. As with small companies this position allows you to be self-sufficient tackling the whole project, even venturing into production deployment. This will be an excellent start to your data science career and an exciting opportunity to solve challenging problems.
